Some interesting stuff and comments relative to some of the above.

So it is a guitar, and you can play it ....whether you would actually want to, or indeed hang it around your neck?

Pickup covers with alternate spacing are available, that paint is going to wear quickly, but with the clear PG, I would have omitted the covers.
I also would have used a wafer switch and full sized pots.

I hadn't really paid that much attention as it struck me as polishing a **** ;-)

With regard to the paint I have used spray on plastic dye (on a Nerf gun) and was stunned how resilient it turned out to be. I wasn't expecting much but it seems to work surprisingly well. I don't know how well it would work on guitar plastics but it is certainly better than paint.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Indeed so. I think it looks very cool and Tele's are heavy any way ;-) As a piece of art I think it is superb, but I can't see it as a usable instrument.

I think with the pencils laid at a 45 degree angle the strength of the neck joint should be improved over the Strat he built previously.

And a more interesting look with the top and sides all having similar cuts.
The guy is certainly talented at building guitar bodies with unconventional materials. He would be a real asset to a custom shop.

Another thing I was thinking is that for a relatively young guy he sure has a lot of tools.
He's got what I sometimes call "old man" tools.
As my dad got older and I would go visit him I would always check out the shop to see what new fandangled gismo he'd purchased since I was there last.
He bought tools like I bought pedals.
LOL
If my dad couldn't find a tool or jig he wanted he would fabricate it.
I'm like him in that respect.
So is this guy with his fabricated router jigs.

About the looks of it though, I'm not keen on that look.
I liked the look of the Strat body better.
When you look closely at this one and see it is pencil crayons then you see how cool it is but from a distance it doesn't stand out as well as his first one.
I find this one to be a bit dark and lacking in contrast between the colours, except the white against blue of course.
In my mind the point of constructing a guitar out of extremely uncommon materials is to showcase that very fact and make it stand out and catch your attention.
Even from only 40 or 50 feet away a person might not notice anything unusual about this guitar at first glance.
We might, because we're guitar geeks but others ... I don't think so.

Such is art. It raises different views. I really like the blending of colours on the Tele. I like the way it has a pixilated image quality where the Strat was just a random mess.

With regard to his tools: Routers are one of the simplest tools you can buy and yet, with intelligence and ingenuity, can be the most powerful. Jigs are what makes routers so great and it is their flexibility that makes them as relevant today as they were 100 years ago (apparently they were invented in 1915).

While I like his second guitar better, for many reasons, I still found his manufacturing techniques a bit cringe inducing at times. It is very bad practice to sand work prior to applying edge tools for example.

I still think it is stupid to make a pencil reinforced resin guitar body but I admire and respect the guys vision and drive. There is no arguing that he made a very interesting looking (and seemingly well made) guitar that could make music. I still stumble over the issue as to whether you would actually pick that up over a conventional guitar if your primary objective was making music but it does look as cool as a cool thing from the Land of Cool.
