Edit: It is not new, I bought it from someone else
Hi guys, I wanna ask something. I bought a new Fender Deluxe Player's Strat guitar. Somehow when I check the serial number which is on its neck, I see different guitar compared to my guitar's color. Also, there is a little difference between them which is "Push/Push Mini Switch located between two tone buttons". My guitar does not have this switch. I really want to know how this is possible?

Lets see pics.
It should have a push mini switch and noiseless pickups marked as such
Does it have gold hardware as well?
There are always exceptions.
Maybe you have just a Player Strat and not a Deluxe Players Strat
If you bought it new Id be asking the store.
A new guitar should come with a fender checkef hangtag with the serial and model number :D

We'll need pics for a definitive diagnosis.

The scratch plate has obviously been changed to a Gilmour style so the guitar may or may not have had the extra switch originally. As far as I am aware only a Gilmour Signature would have that type of scratch plate from the factory so "New" is certainly a bold claim unless it was a FSR order by the retailer but I would then expect to see an FSR sticker.

I am not entirely comfortable with the way the scratch plate and body contours don't seem to match.

I did not understand what you mean in general. So is my guitar original Fender? What do you think about it(also for readers I mistakenly wrote 'I bought a new guitar', it is not new, I bought it from someone else)

+1

It doesn't look like any Deluxe Players Strat I've ever seen.

So the guitar is second hand. It has been changed by the previous owner.

The pictures don't show enough to confirm if just the scratch plate has been changed or if the whole guitar is made up of parts.

I don't like the way the shape of the scratch plate doesn't match the shape of the body. It is either a poor scratch plate of a fake body IMHO.

So this means it is not a deluxe strat
If it is like that, why it has deluxe series symbol in neck

Also I wanna ask how can you distinguish the dismatch between pickguard and body

The deluxe player is not the only mexi guitar to carry that logo the deluxe powerhouse is but another example.
Based on the photos you do not have a deluxe player strat.
If the serial references to the deluxe player then you probably have a guitar made from various parts
:D

Okay. Thank you for answering my questions. Last question I wanna ask is will it be a problem to me(the fact that it is made from different parts)

If it plays well, sounds ok and you did not pay too much for it then be happy.

On the other hand if you bought it thinking it was more than the sum of its parts then only you can decide.

If it was sold as a deluxe player and priced accordingly that is another story.

The body cavity area and the neck heel should have identifiable markings if true fender parts :D

If you have two curved things that are designed to fit together then the curves are generally comparable.

The rounded edge of the lower body horn is nothing like the shape of the pick guard. On a proper Strat the margin around the horn and the pick guard is reasonably close to parallel and the same shape then follows along the bottom of the body. They aren't 100% perfect but I would expect it to be closer than the body in the pictures.
