Hi, I've been browsing for a while, chimed in on a few topics, but have never had any pictures of my guitar until now. I have played guitar for a few years, however I've only ever owned an acoustic. This is my first electric guitar (aside from a MIM I had for 3 days and returned and exchanged for this). I figured I would show them to you guys; comments would be appreciated. Thanks. :)

I have a 2007/08 Fender Highway One Stratocaster SSS.
Here she is a few days after bringing her home.

After a few weeks I got a few new goodies to put on. A Black (metal-turned?) Fender original pickguard and some Fender-Schaller locking tuners in brushed nickel. I also had some Texas Specials to put in to upgrade from the Alvino 3 to Alcino V magnets using the Greasebucket tone circuitry to get rid of some of the muddy sounds others experience. The sounds the guitar is capable of has changed for the better-- kind of like a cross of what it was capable of before + a LOT more.

Here she is put back together:

And the locking tuners (DEFINATELY Recommend putting them on any guitar you own-- It will stay in tune SO Much better.)

Also, while she was getting a new pickguard, I asked my tech to wire up a push-pull pot for the bridge. I was able to keep the wiring schematic similar to the Greasebucket tone circuitry (same caps, etc) and add a push-pull pot to turn the bridge pickup on when I pull the knob outwards. This gives me 7 switching options (1-5 like the normal strat, and Neck + Bridge as well as Neck + Middle + Bridge.) Never sounded sweeter.

That's my strat. Thanks guys.

That's an unusual looking pickguard.

Tell me about it. I wanted a black pickguard to help offset the sunburst and was looking for a Black/White/Black and couldn't find one I liked, and I saw Fender made Engine-Turned pickguards so I found a guy around Nashville selling them. It's a fender made pickguard, so fitment is perfect. At different angles it appears solid black or turned like how it did in the one picture with the flash on it.

Yeah......when I was looking at it, I was wondering if it had a metallic look, and if it had some sort of 3D effect if you moved the guitar. Almost looks like something that one might put on a car. I like black things on guitars anyway. I have a black pearl pickguard on one of my guitars.

As unusual as it is I like it. It looks like carbon fibre like the stuff you put on cars(as mentioned above)

did you have to do any drilling or anything to put on the new tuners?
