Guys, a local Fender Dealer told me he'd never
seen a Strat like mine. I bought it new at another
Fender dealer in 1995 Listed at $1600.00 and it is a
3 color sunburst rosewood with a HSS config with
FLoyd Rose Tremolo and Came with DiMarzio pickups.
It also has the neck lockdowns and the neck is glossy
and smooth like my 2008 Deluxe. The Fender site says
FN coded serial numbers are built to standard specs for export.
Does anyone have any other/more info?

Probably a U.S. or meixican strat meant for Japan or somewhere in Asia.

Yeah, I'm a slow typer...I was responding to the guy who suggested maybe it was a MIM strat. I don't think USA exports to Japan anymore.
I though they supplied their own MIJ strats to themselves. Your suggestion
that it was a 1992 model is intriquing as I wonder if it sat on shelve for 3 years before being bought by me in 95....

They made a Floyd Rose Classic Strat from 92 to 99 American made. And you are right the FN#XXXXXX means it was for export but not all left the U.S and some that did found there way back. There were others made in those years as well MIM Floyd Rose Standard, Floyd Rose Strat Special HSS and another American Special HH Following from Fender site (Quote
FN(XXXXXX) U.S.-made guitars and basses destined for the export market. Some may have stayed in the U.S. or found their way back (made to standard Stratocaster® specs, dating unclear)
