I have a 2010 American Standard Stratocaster, and a while back I replaced the pickups (SSS).
I recently dug out the old pickups and I can't seem to identify which set they are, but I managed to measure the resistance of each one.
Bridge: 7.4kohm
Middle: 5.9kohm
Neck: 5.9kohm
Non of the pickup sets on the fender site have the specs above. The closest I got is the pure vintage 59' for the Neck and Middle, and Tex-Mex for the bridge. Is it possible that the pickup set was already replaced with a combination of pickups when I bought it? What's the standard pickup set for a 2010 American Standard Strat?

Wich one? SSS or HSS

From 2010 Fender Frontline, I read ;
For American standard Stratocaster SSS, pickups are Alnico V
For the HSS ; Single coil are TexMex and Diamond Black Humbucking pickup.

No more specs.

DC resistance often differs from published specs.

With a half mile of wire wrapped around the bobbin, miniscule variations in wire thickness can add up to resistance changes.

You can't measure the resistance while winding. There are boutique makers who overwind each coil, then measure it, then start unwinding and remeasuring until they hit the exact resistance they want. Short of that, you'll always have some variation.

That takes a lot of time and wastes wire. Fender just counts the number of turns they put on the bobbin. Some pickups will measure exactly to spec, but some will measure higher or lower. They can be as much as +/-10% off the published spec.
-----------------
Resistance also changes with temperature. If the pickups aren't 70°F, the measurement will be a little off.
------------------
So when comparing your pickups to published specs, keep that in mind. Don't expect an exact match. Your 5.9KΩ pickups might be spec'ed anywhere from 5.3 to 6.5KΩ.

And as Stratele52 said, many years Fender didn't give detailed specs for AmStd pickups.

Google found a guy on another forum who's AmStds measured at 5.8 -- that's close enough to yours that you most likely have the stock pickups.

Pickups were at 70°F.
Taking the +/-10% into consideration, I'll try to figure out which set it actually is.
It's not that important, it's just bugging me that I don't know. :D
Thanks for the input!!

⬆︎
This.

If you're trying to identify them for the purpose of selling them just say they're the stock pups from a 2010 AS Strat.
That's all the info possible.

How I store unused pickups (if I don't have the original packaging they came in) is to put them in small ziplock freezer bags with a paper slip in each bag with a written description of exactly what they are (type and position) so when I am rummaging through stuff I don't have to wonder what I'm looking at.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.
