Are the pick-ups from early 90s MIJ Strats any good?

I know the ones in the mid 80s have a great deal of hum but sound great while playing or just keeping your hand on the strings in between songs.

The MIJ guitars range in quality/price, so I imagine that the pickups do too.

So you might find MIJ pickups that are ceramic and others that are alnico.
There are even some MIJ guitars that use the same pickups that MIA models use (like Texas Specials, for example).

The ceramic pickups would be similar to MIM standard pickups.
The alnico pickups would be similar to MIA standard pickups.

So worst case, they're at least as good as a MIM set?
