I've got an '06 CP 50s and I love it so much that I've been cruising for an '06 FRONTLINE catalog and I finally scored one, but alas, no Classic Player Strats are listed. I know mine's an '06 because of the diamond logo on the back of the headstock, etc. What gives? Anybody know why they didn't advertise these great guitars in the catalog? Thanks.

im guessing you are talking about the BIG cataloug right?

i have the 06 cataloug and indeed the CP's are not there but they are featured in one of the small Frontline catalouges so im guessing the big one was made before the realease of the Classic Player series.....

I'm not sure what the big and small catalogs are. The one I've got has 256 pages and includes the Classic series, but not the Classic Player series. Do you know where I can get one of the small catalogs that has them in it?
Thanks!

I just grabbed a CP60 yesterday at GC when I went in to absolutley buy a Hiway1. It is a magnificent guitar. I played for three hours then ripped off the strings to get at the guts.

Two piece center seam alder body was a surprise as were the gorgeous routes and finish work inside the body cavity. The pickups and guard...omg: American CTS pots, Custom Shop '69 Ybarra pickups with cloth wire and absolutely perfect soldering ( I do my own work, so I appreciate when it's done well).

The tobacco burst is beautiful and the tone is to die for. I've owned more than a dozen strats and could build one in my sleep. When I plugged my new CP60 in at GC I almost dropped dead that a production guitar from Mexico could be one of the best strats I've ever heard.

Extremely well done, Fender. In 6 months I have purchased a Super Champ XD, Fender 1x12 extension cab, and now a spanking new 2008 strat. The number of "new" Fender items I had purchased in the 20 preceeding -- none.

Fender is in a groove...oh ya, they are hearing us!
