My '75 had all the typical '70s flaws. I sometimes had to realign the neck on stage in the middle of playing. Modded the hell out of it. Finally decided it was a sow's ear and got rid of it.

Still, when I listen to Bridge Of Sighs or Little Feat's Waiting For Columbus, I can't help but love the tone. (Lowell George played vintage Strats in the studio, but got tired of them getting stolen on the road, so he toured with new Strats -- plus he modified them with Tele bridge pickups and didn't want to molest good old Strats.)
