So, I've been a strat player a while now, I own two different strats, but both quite essential and stock SSS strats.

One of them, my Am Std black/rosewood one is and probably will always be my favorite guitar ever.

I owned Gibsons, they came and now are gone. My latest acquisition is a Rickenbacker 620, a sweet guitar in every which way. Well built, good sounding and deliciously easy to play. Fastest neck I've tried so far... but my American strat remains "the one". I played it through countless hours of studio sessions, jams with friends and gigs with bands. Wore several pairs of boots and Chuck Taylors while making it sing and roar... No other axe comes close to it.

Do you feel the same about a particular guitar you own?

Thanks, Fender...

The Strat parts guitar I built a few years ago.
Nothing else I've owned or tried comes close.
Of course, I built it to be exactly that and I succeeded.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Nice job, Matt! I'm glad you're happy with it.

I have two Strats that are MIM. An older '95-'96 and a new '18 Player Series. They are quite different animals and I like both of them very much but I like the Player more. It has great tone and quality. I have two Gibsons. One is a '06 Les Paul Custom Black Beauty and the other is a '17 SG Standard HP. Both are fine instruments but I always go back to my Strats. :)

I own more Fender Strats than any other guitars in my collection.
