Hey all,

Just found a 90s SRV Strat in a pawn shop and put it on layaway. Unfortunately it has a massive body crack running all the way from the neck pocket to down near the strap button, and it's bad enough that the wood seperates when I apply pressure to it. However, for $145 Canadian it's too good of a deal to pass up. I'm wondering if I'm better off to have this glued or to buy a replacement body and build a partscaster. There are definitely a lot of the 2000's body's kicking around, definitely haven't had any luck finding a nineties one. Ultimately I'll probably be reselling this, so that's a consideration in terms of restoring value. It's a really nice guitar but I like my 60th anniversary Strat better. Thanks for any input!
