I found a 1993 "Short" Stratocaster that was made in Japan in 92/93. It's an 18 2/3" scale strat. I can't find a single reference to a strat with a built in speaker. It might not be factory installed. Have you checked under the hood to see if there's signs it's a mod?

There was that Strat style body w/ a built in speaker by Encore or some such company in the early '90's.

like i said guys its a genuine fender product, genuine fender headstock, body, neck, pick up, and speaker, cant post a pic just yet, its black with white plate, maple neck compete with truss rod stripe and the serial number is on the back of the neck near where it joins the body. the bridge has "end-rox" stamped on it. fender on the pick up, no after market stuff or cheap parts, this is the real deal, i gig it and ive been offered regular strats and the odd gibson for it. last offer was by the bass player in my band, offered to buy me a MIM strat, i declined..its nothing like the encore or other cheap stuff on the market this is bone fide, you guys should call up the fender helpline with the serial number. 8)

Here's one of Joe's pictures:

Something just doesn't look right with these decals... or am I imagining things? Looks like "Fender" was painted on by hand. What are your thoughts?

Here is a thread that might help you post a pic. I just learned myself. If this don't work for you do a search for posting pics.
