Hey guys! New member here - apologies for not really making a proper introductory post, but I’m in a bit of a pickle and thought you guys here would be the best ones to ask for advice.

So, I’m currently in the process of upgrading my 2000 American Standard Stratocaster, and I’m swapping the original bridge for the Hipshot two point floating tremolo strat replacement bridge. However, the Hipshot bridge has specific bridge studs/bushings/whatever they’re called that I need to install in order to properly set up the Hipshot bridge.

I found a special tool on StewMac that is meant for pulling out tremolo bridge studs, but it’s $50 which is a bit steep for something I’d only use once. I looked up some alternative ways to get the job done on the internet, and found a few videos of people putting a screw upside down in the hole, and then screwing the bridge screw into the hole until the stud came out. I tried it, but unfortunately I used too small of a screw and the body wood was soft enough that, instead of the stud coming up as I screwed in the bridge screw, the small screw sunk into the wood as can be seen in this picture:

By this point I don’t want to further screw up my guitar, so I thought I’d ask here for advice on getting the studs out as well as this screw that I accidentally sunk into the wood. I have a feeling that the bridge studs for the original tremolo are glued in their holes, because they are EXTREMELY snug and will not budge at all. Any advice on how I can address this situation is very, very greatly appreciated. Sorry for the lengthy first post, and thank you so much in advance!

For getting the studs out, the plastic tube/washer/screw method is safer. One example vid below.
The OCD ones of us use something more protective on the body than tape, though. And note that knife trick around the stud...

Some heat may help breaking the bond between the old studs and the body (and too much heat could ruin the hole and/or finish).

For getting the wood screw out, try wiggling it loose and then turn the hole downwards to let gravity help.
If it still needs pulling, tweezers, a magnet, a looped piece of yarn/wire...
And: patience may be needed.

Depending on the condition of the holes when the studs are out, you may need some epoxy with the new studs, or in worst cases plug/redrill.
