First of all, I wouldn't replace all pickups if one is faulty - unless you're after some certain sound modding while at it.
Second, are you sure it's the pickup and not something else?

If you have the "Exotic Stained Quilt" HSS version, the bridge humbucker is a Twin Head, part number 0092537030 (009-2537-030) and it should be solderless.

Since you mention replacing all 3, to get any useful advice you have to tell us what you don't like about the stock pickups. What do you want more of or less of from replacements? What styles of music do you play? What amp(s) and effects do you use?

There are thousands of replacement pickups available. If you just ask for suggestions without giving info about what you want or don't want from the replacements, you'll just get a bunch of random votes for people's own personal favorites.

If you're thinking of replacing all 3 because you expect that since one died the other two might die also, that's misguided. Any pickup can fail for a variety of reasons.

If you're happy with the way the stock pickups sound, you won't get that sound from different pickups. You might find something else that you like better -- but you might buy dozens of different sets and not like any of them as much as the stock pickups.

If you're not completely satisfied about the sound of the stock pickups, again, you have to try to describe what you don't like about them and give us at least a vague idea of what sort of sound you want.

Good point.... What I really like is to have a set that was originally in the guitar but since that's not possible the closest think to my ears are fat 50s....I them in my 60th anniversary model....just looking for validation or suggestions I guess. Thanks!

Since you like the stock pickups and want replacements that sound as close as possible to them, I wouldn't replace the 2 working pickups.
------------------
After looking up the American Select pickups, I see they're just traditional true single-coils, Alnico 5 and slightly overwound.

The most common failure for traditional single coils is simple to fix. The solder joints that join the thin coil wire to the thick connecting wires sometimes go bad over time.

Did your tech reflow those joints? That's usually all it takes.

Second most common failure is the coil wire breaks where it comes out of the coil. 50/50 chance it's the outer end of the coil instead of the inner. Simply unwinding one turn and resoldering that fixes the problem. If it's the inner end of the wire, sometimes you can get lucky and bridge the break with a blob of solder.

Least common is an internal break in the coil. That requires a rewind, which can be as expensive as a replacement pickup.

If the neck pickup is truly unfixable, just look for any slightly overwound Alnico V and it should be similar.

You're correct about the Fat'50s being close -- slightly overwound Alnico V's. Fender only sells them in sets, but you could find a used single.

If you replace your middle and bridge, you'll have two perfectly fine working pickups that sound good to you, just sitting around gathering dust. Seems extravagant and wasteful to me.

What is a pickup besides wire and magnets? Assuming no change occurring to the wire ... that means the magnets died (became de-magnetized)?? I have never heard of such a thing in a pickup ...

Pretty rare for a pickup to become demagnetized. But there was this recent thread:

https://forums.fender.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=109524

I've never ever heard of a pickup becoming so totally demagnetized that it stops working. Usually it's just a change in tone and output.
---------------------
But think of the wire. A coil is a single strand of hair-thin wire, with a thin coating of insulation. 5,000 turns or so -- that's about a quarter mile long!

It expands or contracts when the temperature goes up or down. And it's not wound perfectly neatly like a quality speaker's voice coil. Turns overlap.

Wax potting helps stabilize it. But even with vacuum potting there are always bubbles and sections that aren't fully saturated. And that can create stress points for thermal expansion/contraction.

And on vintage-style Fender pickups, the coil is wrapped directly onto the magnets. So they expand and contract at different rates than the coil. And if they get bumped up or down they can stretch and break the coil (particularly the E poles).

On vintage-style pickups the top and bottom plates ("flatwork') hold the magnets/polepieces. The flatwork is made of vulcanized fiber -- it's slightly flexible. So when you raise or lower one side of the pickup you can flex the coil a tiny little bit, rubbing it against the magnets.

So yeah, sometimes the wire breaks somewhere inside the coil. Not common, but when it happens the only fix is to remove the wire and wind a new coil on.
