I'm new to playing and acquired the black "vandalism" Stratocaster kurt cobain used, no neck just the body. My question is what type of strat is it and would any Stratocaster neck fit it?

Looks to be just a basic Japanese Strat lefty body with H-S-S routing and black pickguard.
The original had several necks including Fernandez, Kramer, and Fender Japan.
Any standard Fender neck will fit

I hope you did not buy this thinking that it is *the* Vandalism Strat. His was MIJ, serial number I-000614, and is in the EMP Museum in Seattle. A TON of clones, right and left handed, have been built over the years. A pretty bad Squier copy was sold on Reverb about 6 months ago.

Thank you for the info. I definitely did not buy it thinking it was the actual vandalism strat. The one I have does not have the sticker or damage. Another question to add if you don't mind. Where the second tone knob would be is a two way switch that the humbucker is soldered to. Is it safe to say that is a modification?

That would have been a mod from how it came from Fender. It is probably a coil-tap switch to make it sound more like the stock single coil.
I would imagine that the other tone pot has been wired to work with all 3 pickups.
