Hi - I've come across a Fender Stratocaster by way of my father in law, unfortunately I don't know much about it.

Taken apart the neck and body, the neck is stamped as "2OCT63B" and fret, machine stock, head all figure (spaghetti written logo)

And the body had the accompanying 4 screw backplate with Serial:

However the body looks as though it was at some time fitted with a three holed neck:

Appreciate any feedback and thoughts on what I've got. Thank you for your time and feedback, regards,

Claude

OK, sorry for the late answer, but you seem to have been a victim of the first post delay policy on the forum.

Based on the three pics:
I'd say you have a Partscaster. The neck looks like a legit 1963 one, on that one pic only basis.
The neck plate number fits that era, but that doesn't guarantee the neck plate originally came with the same neck.
The body can't be recognized from those pics - there's obviously been some modding (is that the strap button in the neck heel end..?), and the Noiseless pickups (how about other electronics?) are from a later period.

For a better ID, a lot of pics (and preferably straight on the forum instead of behind a link) are needed. Whole guitar front & back, details (headstock both sides etc.), inside pics, pics of the electronics and so on.

If you plan to sell the guitar, a professional evaluation might be a good idea. At the moment I'm thinking the guitar as a whole could have a lower value than the neck alone - if the neck really is pre-CBS.

We need a lot more pics. Of everything.

There's an issue with the body neck pocket. The radiused edge of the body should not extend all the way to the front of the picket -- there should be a lip/shelf/ extension there. That's a detail that non-Fender bodies often get wrong. (And there were 3-bolt Asian copies in the '70s and '80s.)

Tokai did round-lam fretboards. Early ones had hex adjusters at the heel but later ones had slotted adjusters. They didn't have heel date stamps, but it's certainly possible the stamp isn't original. (I'm not saying the neck is fake, just saying that one pic doesn't prove it's real.)
