Ever tried this? I’ve used it on the 5 strats I’ve owned and I’ve never add tone issues.

Jam the trem block shut using a wedge in the cavity so the bridge plate is flat to the body (you’ll find it easier by loosening the strings). Literally drive a 2 inch long screw into the top and bottom wall of the space where the trem block operates, at a diagonal, jamming the block closed. This means the only contact the trem block has is where it meets the side of the screw.

What’s your opinion? I’ve A/B’d the tone of floating v 2 screw method and there’s no real difference.

What you get is a rock solid locked down trem without faffing around with bits of metal or wood.

Sorry, I’d post a picture but I’m using an iPad to post.

There's been numerous ways to deck/block a Strat trem.
As for tuning stability, a properly set up trem on a properly set up Strat stays in tune just fine. (Remembering that Fender trems ain't no dive bomb machines, they are old school oriented.)

Your way is simple and easy, since one doesn't need to shape the wedge very accurately. But I'd ecpect the screw leaves some thread marks in the trem cavity, which could be a downside if they go through the paint to the wood.
And, with all due respect and no offence intended, it's just another wheel invention.
