I recently scored a 2002 Highway One Strat in Honey Blonde and rosewood neck It was unplayable when i bought it (neck was bent and intonation was way out) but I had her serviced and turns out she's a nice sounding guitar. I am curious if anyone happens to know which pickups were used in these Highway Ones?? My tech told me they were made with a lot of Mexican parts but were assembled in the Corona factory, hence the "Made in USA". He wasn't sure which pickups were used but thinks they may have been the Tex-Mex or Texas Special pickups. Does anyone happen to know for sure? I downloaded the spec sheet for the Highway One and it doesnt say which pickups Thanks in addvance!!

I agree there is very little info easily found.

The following Fender video notes the introduction of the MkII Highway One along with a number of changes in the line.

They note that the MkII had overwound PUPs with the middle reversed so this would suggest the MkI's weren't.

What specs sheet is that, they usually do include the pickups specs too...

Anyways, for a 2002 Highway One Strat the original pickups would be part number 0054594000; "Vintage Style Single-Coil Strat® Pickups with Staggered Pole Pieces, Alnico Magnets". The same pups were used in other models, too; at least Classic 70's Strat, Hendrix Monterey and of course the HWY1 HSS's.

On Fender 2020 Frontline, it is only the Deluxe Series with Tex Mex Pickups

On the Frontlines; 2004 and after are in the net. 2003 and before, nowhere. I wonder if FMIC would object someone scanning & publishing those (better yet if they'd do it themselves, and in a searchable pdf form...).

Thanks everybody for your answers. It seems then that they are Vintage Single coils with staggered poles.... Thanks!!! The spec sheet i got was a pdf from the fender site that just had the drawing of the front and back with names of the pieces but it didn't specify what sort of pickups so thanks for your help!! :-)
