I want to wire my MIM strat a bit different. In pos.4 , (mid and bridge) the sound I get is qucky like a country tone. I dont really like that kind of music. I want to wire that position so that the mid and bridge, or neck in bridge are in series, like the baja telecaster. Will that give me a humbucker tone like people tell me?

Not exactly like a humbucker - obviously: for that you'd need... a humbucker. But series connection will take the edge off that nasal sound and make things a bit warmer and rounder.

So, a little bit like a humbucker...

We discussed it a bit in this thread from a few weeks ago concerning series and parallel wiring with the S-1 switch:

("How do you remember a post like that weeks later, Ceri?" Because my life must be empty of more meaningful pursuits, I suppose... :? )

Cheers - C
