I'm planning to upgrade the pickups in my nearly-forgotten 2004 Mexican Fat Strat. The pickups I am planning to use are all DiMarzios. Neck will be DP408 (4 conductor), middle will be DP175S (2 conductor, reverse polarity) and bridge will be DP223 Humbucker (4 conductor). In regards to the DP223, DiMarzio says "The 4-conductor version also splits very well. Single-coil mode is bright, but not at all sterile-sounding."

So here's what I'm looking to do with these, but I need some help.

I'd prefer to use the standard five-way selector switch to achieve the following options (not necessarily in this order) (1) Bridge humbucker split to single coil. (2) Bridge humbucker. (3) Bridge split & middle. (4) middle only. (5) Neck only.

I'm open to suggestions for what do with the two tone knobs, but the closest wiring diagram I found has them on middle and neck. Here's that diagram: http://www.dimarzio.com/sites/default/f ... t2and4.pdf

If I can't achieve this with the standard 5 way, I'd (reluctantly) drill for a toggle, or spring for a Fender Super Switch. If I had to do either of these, I'd also like to know if pairing the neck and middle would even work together in the notch position of the switch. Either way, I'd need help to figure out the wiring.

Thank you!
