Hey,
I’m going to order an AMERICAN pro Strat.
Can’t decide between a SSS of a HSS model.
I play blues,rock and grunge.
Some say that a HSS isn’t a real Strat?
Please help me out...
Greetings from Belgium

Some say ...... :P
Why don't test both guitars by yourself ? Ah guitars are not in your guitar Store.

HSS have more ( enough ) output from bridge pickups . Young people ( you ?) may like it more.
SSS, lack of output on bridge for some people.

It Is a mater of taste.

+1 I will add some say Bridge PU to much treble, ice picky, the humbucker will be more thick sounding, I have a American Standard Strat with fat 50's and I rarely use the bridge PU. It also depends on what amp I am using, if I use my Super Reverb I will sometimes use the bridge pick up or if I use an amp with 12's or a 15 if I use my any practice amp I am disappointed in the Bridge sound, but that is just MHO

Maybe take a (couple of days) road trip to Brussels - I'm sure some shops there stock both models.

I guess they are not in stock in store in Belgium , most guitars store in Europe I see are so small. Building are too expensive.

Well, according to their web page info, Keymusic (Rue du Midi 143, Brussels) has both - although the HSS is marked as "last chance".

Anyways, for blues&rock&grunge, I'd recommend a Tele or a Jaguar, depending on the relation of those musical components (Tele for bluer, Jag for grunger) and the amount of street cred needed.
(And on Strats, I'd choose a SSS anyday, but that's just me & my vintage nostalgic handicaps.)

HH have full-blown output for both bridge and neck wired in series. These humbucking demons can be splitted for single coil tones through the super 5-way pickup selector.

I never listen to what "some say".
Ever.
For any reason.
People have been shoehorning humbuckers into Strats for as long as there have been Strats.
There has never been any evidence to prove conclusively one way or another that an SSS or an HSS is a "real" Strat.
The truth is .... a real Strat is real if it is genuinely made by Fender.
There is no other criteria.
Period.
Nuf Sed.

FENDER decides what is real and what is not.
All others can lick toe jam.

OK, maybe that got away on me there at the end.
(in my best Billy Crystal voice)
LOL

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.
