im looking for a replacement tremolo for my MIM strat. i looked at some a while back and i cant remember the name/brand. all i really remeber is that they were pretty high qualitly and about $100 or so i think.....but theres a billion tremolos like that so any suggestions?

You can buy Fender Trems from AllParts...Callaham makes Trems for Strats...there's Floyd Rose...there's TremKing...

Yeah, the TremKing that someone was discussing on another thread certainly looks interesting, at any rate. I have no experience of it, so I'd be curious to hear anyone's thoughts.

I like the Wilkinson VS-100 bridge a lot on project guitars, and the VS-400 is tasty, too. The VS-50 and -100 can be had with Fishman piezos in the saddles... Though I've never found a reason to swap out a stock Fender bridge.

Also, many people find Hipshot trems feel nice under the palm.

YES! thats it. callaham, thats the one i was looking for....although the tremking is very interesting. so does anyone have any experience with callaham?
