Hello guys, im new here and new to Fender guitars :) ( Ibanez fan )

I recently purchase a lonestar at a local shop for 450usd. Regular price 700usd. And i notice that the model is from the year 2013-14, but is new.. ( i guess it never got sold or something) so i really though it was the new version that came out on 2016. Was that a good deal?? Or should o return it and save money for the new lonestar? Is there any difference between the two?

Also, is it normal that the humbucker to have more output volume than all the single coils? ( it has the split function))

Anyone play heavy metal with a strat? I dont like the stock pickup. Any brand you guys recommend? But that has the split function? Thanks

Do you know if this model is available in 2017 ? IMO no , I could be wrong.
Keep it you pay the right price

Yes, Humbucker is two single coil il one box. If it has too more output, try to screw down

The Deluxe Lone Star™ seems to be off the menu at the moment.
A 2014 for 450 seems OK to me, but I'm used to European price levels so whaddoIknow...
Anyways, a 2014 serial numbered guitar could have either a (Seymour Duncan) Pearly Gates or a (Fender) Twin Head as the humbucker, plus Texas Specials for mid/neck pups. Either way, rough is what you ordered...

thanks for the reply guys! one other question i have, it seems that the two tone knobs dont work on the bridge pickup, but it looks that is active or something, because cant explain im getting good tone when i put some high gain. o yea the lonestar comes with that single coil split function.

The original wiring gives no tone control for the bridge pickup.
But it has no active electronics, either.

$450 for new is cheap even for a demo model. Don't be too hasty on deciding to change out the pickups, as there are some good ones already in there. I recommend really breaking it in before doing anything.
