Does anyone know where I can get specs on the '72 reissue Strat that was made in Japan? Specifically, I'm curious to know what kind of pickups were issued, as well as what model of tremolo bridge it has. Thanks in advance!

Your best chance of getting original specs is emailing Fender Consumer Relations (via the support pages) with the serial.

The pickups can be ST-Current, ST-Current/USA, ST-Single, DiMarzio...
And the trem assy a Diecast Block Current, S5D, S88...
In general, that "current" is very characteristic to ST-72's, vs. "vintage" of the fifties/sixties models.
Not much help, I know - but you didn't even give a manufacturing year to begin with... 8)

Whoops! I guess a manufacturing year would help. According to the serial number (T plus 6 digits, labeled Made in Japan, as opposed to Crafted), the guitar was made in 1994-95. I will contact the guys at Fender, so thanks for the info. I bought this guitar used, so I haven't cracked her open to look at the pickups, so I was just going under the assumption that they were stock. The black color parts scheme was already installed on the guitar when I had purchased it (funny, but I implement the same color scheme on my other three Strats. I like the contrast). Thanks for the info. Oh, I'm not sure if anyone else has run into this, but the trem arm is not a 5mm, 6mm, nor a 10/32 (American) thread. I had tried all three because I was looking for a black arm, and none of these sizes worked. It's not that big of a deal, because I've just received a black aftermarket trem system, which comes with a black arm. Thanks again. Steven

The only alternative trem arm size left is 10-24UNC...
But the trem arm should AFAIK be M5 threaded. If that doesn't fit, the threads in the block may be stripped, those diecast blocks have such a habit. (On the other hand, they're easy to re-thread.)

I wouldn't worry about the color of the plastics in a legit/fake evaluation; those are often modded. They may tell something in original/modded evaluation - but there has been so many Japanese variations it's not very helpful here.

The 1995ish origin would suggest your guitar is a ST72-65.
And: one problem with your serial is, it's possible Fender's database returns specs only for an instrument with the same MIJ, T+6 digits from the later (2007ish) era, if the serial has been reused.

Would be nice if you report the result...

The guitar came with a trem arm that works fine, but I was looking for a black trem arm for cosmetic purposes. I was going to go down to my local hardware store to have the threads measured, and I may still do that, but I pulled the trigger on a black aftermarket trem system. The specs were really just to satisfy my curiosity, but either way, she sounds good.
