Z0 = 2000 or 2001

There is no Big Apple named Strat in 2001.

Look original 2001 American Double Fat Strat from Hot Rodded American Series
As see on 2001 Fender Frontline page 34.
I don't have 2000 Fender Frontline

Look more Teal Green Metallic color than Shoreline Gold to me. I could be wrong

Thanks so much for the reply.

I'm not really sure when this guitar was made.

Guitardaterproject says:

"Your guitar was made at the
Corona Plant (Fender), USA
in 2000 - 2001
Production Number: 124209 "

2000 or 2001 ?
You must remove the neck to see right dating.
Anyway it is a great guitar, enjoy.

Thank you! I think it's because of the lighting that's why it looks teal green.

I found out the dates of the body and neck of the guitar. Pics below.
Is this 100% legit?

The guitar looks legit and original. I never give 100% certainties, but that's my opinion.

Still, the maple truss rod cap bothers me a little - could be just the perspective in the pic. So, I checked the serial number on https://www.fender.com/product-registra ... ial-search
The result says "AM DBL FAT STRAT RW SHG" - the RW is for a rosewood fretboard, SHG for Shoreline Gold.
Anyways, 2000 was the year of transition from Big Apples (came with both neck options) to Double Fats (price lists of 2000 only show rosewood available, maple came along in 2001 price lists), so it's quite possible and probable it's all original.
But it doesn't hurt to check with Fender Consumer Relations, they can usually provide the original specs for a 2000 serial number.

And yet one remark: the product registration database and FCR have both been wrong in the past. And so have I...

That bothered me somewhat as well. I'm also not entirely happy that I can see the edges of the head decals. All that aside the rest looks peachy.

Original Big Apples were manufactured between late 1996 and 2000. Renamed as American Double Fat Strats in 2001, with a few cosmetic and hardware changes such as staggered tuners eliminating the need for a 2nd string tree, rolled fretboard edges, detailed nut and fret work and an HSH rout. Discontinued in 2003.
