Hi,
Is there any way to have an american elit strat with rosewood fretboard and in candy apple red?
I did take a look at costume shop pdf but can't understand how can you choose an elite model as base.
Any idea?

Thank you.

No I don't think so. The best I can suggest is buy the nearest off the shelf guitar to the spec you want and then swap over the bits that don't match your desired specification.

I am sure there will be 3rd party luthiers who would perform this task for you (at a premium) if you don't fancy pulling a brand new guitar apart yourself.

You can, of course, buy the Elite you want and have the body refinished in any colour you want.

I'm just arranging to have a Strat refinished (from poly) with Sonic Blue nitro. It's costing me £250 - £300. Quite a bit, I know (don't know how much where you live), but I got the Strat cheap and it's a fraction of a CS guitar!

Cheers - Peter.

Well American pro HSS offers a candy apple red colour option but it's quiet a different guitar like neck joint is old-school and neck profile and pick ups and wiring :D.

Well that thought has crossed my mind but it's a little bit scary thinking about it. I mean it's a brand new guitar . But that seems like the best option at the moment to be honest. The black one looks alright and is the safest choice in case I won't go with the refinish although I had way too many black guitars.

Get the Olympic pearl one and always stand under a red light when playing it...job done.

Yes, I know what you mean! What about trying for a used Elite? I know they're pretty new but there must be a few used ones around by now - especially in the States?

The nice thing about a refinish is that you can have nitro. In my book that's a huge advantage. Just make sure you engage a decent luthier...

Cheers - Peter.
