Hi. I recently bought my first Strat. Its a HW1 2006 HSS and Im couldnt be more happy with it. I bought it used for 300$ so I did a proper cleaning and polish. The frets are in good shape, but I want to do a proper intonation and arm leveling. The arm is in very good shape also.
The Problem is:
I CANT ADJUST THE TRUSS ROD! I bought a set of allen Keys from 1.5 to 10 but none of them works. It has a metal part on the arm but nothing hapens, nothing turns. With a help of the flashlight I see a metal piece (round one) but I cant see any marks for the allen Key.
By the way this is a USA made (is there any diference in the keys im using)
Can somebody help me? Is there some part missing? Do you have pics of your truss rod so I can see whats missing? Thanks in advance.

The correct key size is 1/8".
The truss rod nut should have a hex end, but if the previous owners also used wrong keys, it's possible it's rounded.
Try the (a) right size key (b) pressed in deep enough and (c) moderate force, (d) strings loosened (or off completely), and turn (e) counter-clockwise first.

If that doesn't help, take the guitar to a pro for a diagnose and a setup.

Edit: Your pic links require a sign-in to facebook... The ones in your other topic show up just fine, so it's not progress. And the best way would be to post pics straight to the forum.
If you use facebook (I don't), one way seems to be this: go to the 'Pics' section, right click the pic you want to post, choose "Properties", copy the image name and paste it with the IMG-command.

Pretty much spot on. You have to open the full image, so click on the image first to make it big . Then hover mouse over the image, right click to get "Copy image address" which will then paste (CTRL V) directly into your forum text between the tags when you click the [IMG] at the top. Simples.

+1 See a pro.
