Thanks man. I know it plays like a dream and sounds good also. It doesn't have the crunch of my lester, but it has a good tone of it's own.

Well, I thought, I would be posting on the Powerhouse Strat thread but no! About a week ago I agreed to buy a MIM Strat off of Craig's List.....looks just like a 2004 Powerhouse Strat. Navy Blue, pearloid pickguard, 21 fret neck, maple board, vintage bridge. I thought, for sure that's what I was going to pick up today/buy. But wait! No active electronics!!!! It's a Standard looking Strat with a "special edition" oval w/gold star decal on the back of the head - stock. I went to wiki....looked of Stratocaster and here is what i found out. "special edition" means! paint or vintage appointments or special features etc.etc. My strat, looks just like a Navy Blue powerhouse Strat with pearloid pickguard just no 12db boost on the middle pickup. It's a "special edition" Standard Mexican Stratocaster. I think, its probably a Musician's Friend FSR or GC, Sam Ash, Sweetwater, etc.etc. I will, put up photos later today. Mickey PS: I'm new here guys! Love this website!! Edit: Went to fender.com color chart and its not Navy Blue but rather "Saphire Blue Transparent" w/pearloid pickguard. if, anyone has more info..... please let me know , My serial # is MZ4xxxxxx, thanks! Here are some photos....Image close-up.....Image

The Special Editon sticker is placed on FSR guitars.

Cheers,

Is there a way to research FSR guitars from fender? Or any other place?

I have bought two FSR guitar from Guitar Center. Each time I emailed Fender with all the info I had, especially the Guitar Center Tag info, and they provided all the info just like on their web site. They do not put this FSR info on the web sites. These guitars are made especially for Guitar Center.

Andy,

I bought the guitar used and its a 2004 born date. No tags! Would be great if fender would make this info available to all of us.

Hi

Nice guitar!!!!!!!

Send the serial number to consumerrelations@fender.com they will send you the spec of the guitar which may include details of why it is an FSR such as total number made, who it was made for if it was a company like guitar center.

Let us know what they say.
