Hi All, I have just picked up an 1962 Re-Issue Stratocaster in SB.
And it came from The Guitar Center in Chicago IL. USA in 1999 and the back plate is stamped V113360 So would it be new in 1999?

Thanks for any help. Mick :)

"For U.S. Vintage Series, check neck date for specific year".
The V+4/5/6 digits serials were used during a long period, and without any special reference to the build year.

So do as stratmangler suggests, or take a peek in the neck end.

Your serial checks out for an AVRI 62 Strat in the product registration search engine.
But generally speaking, a serial number alone is no guarantee for legit/authentic/original.
