Post subject: Identifying a prewired set of Strat pickups

The bobbin numbers are standard numbers that, I believe, are used on multiple sets of pickups.

Poles not staggered. Stacked tone... Acquired through a friend who hangs with cats like Oingo Boingo, nSync, Madonna's band, etc... Was installed in a vintage parts Frankenstrat (US neck/tuners, P/Us MIM body hardware...)

All he knew was his source said they were Custom Shop...

If readings are needed, can they be accurately done wired in the circuit? I've always thought not, even if switched off, loads vary with the extra metal connected.

Yep sorry post good pics in the forum instead of a link.
If they are plastic bobbins then they will not be custom shop.
Standard length pickup wire adds little to the resistance measurement so you would be ok to measure from the pickup switch tab when the pickup is not in circuit with the pot. :D
