Hi I have a question about yellowing issue in Olympic white color guitar.
My guitar is Fender American Vintage Reissue 1962 Olympic white.
And it was made in 2011.
Color of my guitar is not white anymore. it's very yellowish.
I heard many people said Olympic white color changes to yellow quickly.
But when I saw other guitar(Fender Custom Shop 1960 Olympic white made in 2008) I think it does not change as time goes.
Mine is very yellowish even though it was made lately compared to Fender Custom Shop one.
Is there any reason Fender Custom Shop does not change its own color?

Hi there assuming both are finished in nitro then the difference may be storage.
If you leave yours in a brightly light room that gets lots of sun then it will yellow quicker than if kept in the case.
I would not be too concerned and think of it as mojo. :D

I've got a '99 poly Telecaster Nashville Deluxe (18y.o.).

It's yellowed nicely... more of a French Vanilla.

You can see in my sig. pic below (on the rht.). It looks OK but if you remove the pickguard, you can really see how far it's changed.

As mentioned, major Mojo !!

cheers!

Oh yes ... mojo depends on colour aging.
For real.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.
