Well dang it! It occurs to me you have Noiseless PUPs so changing the covers probably in't an option?

Aged white and parchment is a sound option though and standard on a good number of models.

Black and aged white is perhaps even less favourable than Tortoise and Aged White (OK I said it). Fender seem to do black and aged white quite often when they don't really know what else to do. It almost never looks good.

Another one that almost never looks good is gold anodized but that might work in this instance with the aged white?

It is such a shame they don't do aged white as a guard. I appreciate there are cream guards available from independent suppliers, but I only put Fender guards on mine as it seems the only right thing to do.

Sorry, I don't see the connection?

I trust this thread hasn't been "a bit of fun" so you can arbitrarily drop in a YouTube link about your studio?

Is such blatant self promotion even allowed on this forum?

Hardly...I made the video yesterday...I talk about my collectors edition tele too..

It was harmless fun...chatting about fender guitars in a video in a fender forum mate.

No hidden agenda :)

I didn't get as far as that bit. Perhaps post the link to the video at the pertinent point, then we wont get the wrong idea. Even then I'm not really seeing how it applies to this thread but I am ready to be proved wrong.

You are right, it looks ****** awful as it stands. Black will look better (very little could look worse) but I still think parchment is the way to go.

So I can't get Pickup covers for it? Only a black Scratch plate?

Some have changed the covers on Noiseless PUPs but it is something of a gamble as they aren't made to be changed. It is certainly a case of it will go one of two ways.

Either it will work or it won't
There has been discussion on this.
The covers can be removed but are tight and as such Fender do not recommend it. You risk damaging the fragile windings.
Anyway your biggest problem may be sourcing black covers since they are not a readily available item.. :D
