Anyone make these? Anyone know where to get a real fender truss rod?

Now this one raises my curiosity - what do you need it for?
I mean, if you're building from scratch, the result won't be a "real Fender", regardless of the truss rod. And if you have a broken truss rod in a Fender neck, the replace operation is among the most complicated repair jobs.
So, in most cases, a Fender replacement neck (or a licenced aftermarket part) would be the best solution.

But trying to be helpful (in addition to the buzzkill above): contact Fender Consumer Relations, and ask for a part number for truss rods, plus possible purchase options. Describe the type; there have been several ("Normal"; Bullet; Heel Adjusted Vintage; Bi-Flex™; Dual/Double Action; Spoke Wheel...).
But don't get your hopes up, AFAIK truss rods aren't on the 'parts' menu.

That seems like a good plan. I'll try that.

My Am Std truss rod broke and the neck twisted. I have the old one out and am thinking about pulling the frets, sanding it level and putting new frets on. Only if I can get a replacement truss rod, tho.

I already have a new fender neck on it that I actually like better. I'd like a fender and not a parts caster, tho.

Your AmStd most likely has the Bi-Flex™ truss rod

Even if you could find a truss rod somewhere, I'd guess the anchor in the middle of the neck makes replacing it a mission impossible...

That's what it has.

Had to drill out one of the dots on the front (7th, I think) and, if I can find it, I should have that part.
