Hello,

Have you seen a trem cover with 60th Anniversary logo or design?

I'm not talking about pasting a 60th Anniversary sticker or decal onto my trem cover. I'm looking for a "graphical image impregnated into high gloss plastic" like those made by Greasy Groove.

Please let me know where I can find that.

Thanks.

I've seen the logo on the neck plate, and medallion on the headstock...but have yet to find a Tremolo cover with the etched logo.
I'd imagine a good tattoo artist or jeweler could do one on a plain cover?

I have seen neck plates and pick guard with 60th anniversary logo, but not trem covers. It would be nice to have one.

Silly me! When you said "Trem Cover" I thought you meant the ash tray.

Never seen a trem cover with the 60th-Anni-theme, but there's plenty of custom (pickguard) makers who would most likely make one for you.
Plus, these days the 3D-printing is the new option - in here even some public libraries have that service, for free (which was a big surprise for me).

Don't believe the hype. 3D printed items can be good if they are designed to be printed otherwise the printers aren't worth the space they occupy. Mine was running 24/7 for the first six months - the finger brackets for holding guitars against the side of work tops to stop them sliding get the most use of anything. These days the printer doesn't get used at all as the dedicated driving PC has developed a fault and I haven't got around to fixing it.

Back to the plate ... If you gave a plate to a sign manufacturer with CNC etching (for name plates etc.) they would eat that. The vectorizing of the logo will probably cost you more than the cutting though. Not that I would advocate such a thing but, if you could find a pirate vector file on the interweb, that would save you a mint.

Obviously you wouldn't do such a thing anyway as, I assume, the image is registered trade mark or protected in that it includes the Fender logo which most certainly is.

I've seen an aftermarket pickguard on eBay with Custom Shop logo edged onto a pewter colored background. Quite impressive and professional looking. Fender sells original 60th Anniversary gig bags, picks and tins too. But have never seen pickguards or trem covers.

...and fake.

I personally have no issues with people doing any number of artistic things with their neck plates, or what ever hardware, assuming they don't use registered trademarks and logos. These are the intellectual property of the originating Company and their misuse can damage the value of the brand.

Hi John,

Correct. And it makes an otherwise original guitar look adulterated. I saw that aftermarket pickguard on a real custom shop stat, or maybe....

I agree.

There are some very cool routed pickguards available which, on the right guitar, might look really good but I am of the mind to try to maintain and original look, or at least a look which might have been original even if it wasn't. If Fender made, or fitted, them at some time all well and good otherwise it shouldn't be there.

Your idea on trem spring covers has got me thinking. I like the idea of having the names of my guitars on my guitars. While the neck plate is the obvious I don't like removing the neck unless absolutely necessary. Trem spring covers is a cool idea though. They are cheap, sign makers have a raft of fonts so something appropriate wouldn't be expensive and it can be easily reversed if you come sell the guitar. And you can then keep the cover plate like and old car number plate.

I might even relent on a logo on the spring cover plate as, pretty much, only you would know it is there.

Not the ideal solution for my Hard Tail though
