Nice Strat Porn! I am guessing they were discussing the sauciness of their pickups?

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

I'm really kicking myself right now for not picking up that Aztec Gold Strat when I had the chance. That's a really nice, drool-inducing collection you've got there. :D

Nice collection fer sure! I look at the humbuckers and think to myself - nope, I wouldn't do that, Leo made the Stratocaster right the first time. But what I need to realize is that part of making it right was making it easy to modify.

My favourite varies from time to time. Current favourite is the only Mexican one! i.e. the Classic Series 50s in Surf Green. I must admit the build quality was a massive surprise, having always bought US ones before. The setup was A1 out of the box; usually I pay £100 each to have any new guitars professionally set up.
Close behind favourite is the Olympic White 2010 American Standard. It just feels and sounds so right every time I pick it up. It's with my local tech today having the Seymour Duncan 'Everything Axe' set replaced with a Kinman Blues set. I love the SD mini humbuckers - they don't stop the Strat sounds coming through at all - it's just I have enough Strats with those on so decided to ring the changes. I'll report back on how the swap goes.

Thanks for that, alway interested in peoples views.
I see you have yet to traverse to the dark side i.e. rosewood. :D

I noticed the lack of rosewood as well. Rosewood will be hard to find on new guitars very soon. Glad I got my rosewood strat fingerboard and rosewood acoustic. Something that will soon be in the past.
