It's been sitting in a closet all these years. It comes with new electronics in the pickguard and maybe a case....I'm planning on putting Lace Sensor pickups in it to match my Tele.

Nice! I had one just like yours, but with a IRW board. What pups are in it now?

I'm not sure about the pups because he bought and installed a loaded pickguard, and who knows what pickups were in there. I was planning on putting in Lace Sensors, but there seems to be a lot of support for the Vintage Noiseless, so I may go with those instead. I'm waiting till I see and hear what's in there before making a final decision.

Thanks. I think the pups are Fender Classic 70's series. Which really don't sound bad but the Lace Sensor Golds would sound much better, and that's what I'm leaning to. I've listened to many pickup videos on you tube and the Lace Sensor Golds sound the best to me. I've already got Lace Sensor pickups in my Tele and they sound great, and were fairly easy to install.

Well the Strat is here now. I did a sound comparison between the two and the Lace Sensors won out for a number of reasons. First off hum and buzzing with the Classics 70's, no hum with the LS's. Magnets too close to the strings, tinny sound, weak sustain....plus the LS's just plain look better. So I ordered a set of three Golds. I also ordered a mother of pearl type pickguard.... both should be here next week.

That's a great looking brace of guitars that man. I'm not a fan of MoP but, in your situation, it should look cool.

Well these two guitars are 2002 & 2003 about 15 years old and the original pick guards yellow over time, so they do need to be replaced every so often....I decided to go with the mother of pearl to jazz them up a bit from the plain Jane pick guards that were on there.... The new pickguard for the strat is coming Monday, the Lace Sensor pickups in a couple of days, so I'll be changing the strat all around then.

I first got the idea for the MoP pickguard from a Gretsch guitar I just bought. It just looked so good on that guitar, and it does indeed spruce up the Tele.

Look something like this photo I found on Google Image?

I have a Candy Apple Red (2015) that I put one on, and it looks absolutely beautiful to me.

Congtratulations, you got a nice pair there.

I waited till you had the upgrade ready, because I do not want to question your pickup selection (plus I like Laces & pearloid myself), but this question has been bugging me since your previous post:

How come that's not a setup, more precisely a pickup height, issue?

Well after hearing the Lace Sensor Golds, I can assure you the old pickups had problems I mentioned, not just a set up issue. The difference is night and day, the Lace Sensors are fabulous pickups. Great sustain, dead quiet when you want them to be, excellent tone....the old pickups were very close to the strings, almost too close, yes that was a setup issue, but it demonstrated that somebody tried to get the max out of those pups. The new Lace Sensors aren't as close but deliver superior sound and volume. I'm very happy I made the switch.
