Could you post a pic of the current tuners - even in the same year TL52 models, there may be several types. Gotoh made Kluson style, (G-)Gotoh stamped, Fender Japan stamped and who knows what, so...

And the compulsory question: what's wrong with the original tuners?

Fixing what ain't broke is a fool's errand.

Cheers Arjay and J, theyr stamped Fender Japan , I cant work out how to put up photos, doh! The reason for changing them is the tunings never been very steady and I even have it hardtailed with a block.

If there's an issue with the way the nut has been cut the result will be the same.
You'll have poor tuning stability.
The nut is more likely to be the cause of problems than faulty tuners.
Get the nut sorted out, and use some good lubricant (I use Big Bends Nut Sauce on all of my guitars) in the nut slots and catch points (string trees).

Tuning stability issues are often more likely caused by problems with the nut or bridge saddles than with the tuners themselves.
