Hey,

I'm looking for a part number for the pickguard for a MIM Fender Squier Strat. I'm customizing one for my friend but can't seem to find any that are going to fit. Here is the info on the guitar that I've been able to find.

Floyd Rose II Locking Tremelo
Fender Squire Series
Made In Mexico
Stratocaster
Serial Number: MN5157818

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Hi, sorry for the late answer.
I'm not aware of any parts lists/service diagrams for the Squier Series guitars ever being published.
And even if you'd find the original part number, I very much doubt that pg would still be in production with that number.
You have the 21-fret, Floyd Rose II, HSS guitar, right?

Those days, 0053754000 was a pickguard part number for model 1106500/6502, which was called both "FLOYD ROSE CLASSIC STRATOCASTER HSS" and "STRATOCASTER SPECIAL HSS W/FR" in the 2000 and 2001 service diagrams. But even that part number seems not to be in use today...

But don't panic.
You could try part number 0053157000; that's the white (W/B/W 3-ply) pg for MIM Standard Fat Strat 1134700; it's got the same FR-II. Try darrenriley.com or angela.com, if you're in the $-area.
Or buy any 11-hole HSS pg (Fender or aftermarket) in the desired color/pattern and do the possibly necessary mods yourself.
And if all else fails, you could order a custom made pickguard, using the current one as the template.

The kicker with this one is that it's only got the one tone dial and the one volume one instead of the two tone and one volume.

If you're not customizing the wiring to utilize three pots, you can either plug the extra hole or go the custom made road; DIY or commercial.
