Check out my Jimi Hendrix strat. Not exactly a NGD because I've had it a few months. Bought it used.

The honeymoon is over and I still love this thing. Neck feels great, somehow just the right thickness and rounded enough on the edge that it supports thumb fretting. The '65 pickups sound great, the body shape is more comfortable than my American Deluxe, and the polyester finish feels good to the touch. I love the reverse stagger sound and the reverse angle on the bridge pickup. Fender hit a home run with this guitar.

That's fabulous. I have two strats and keep telling myself I don't need another, but damnit, there's this massive divide between want and need. I always loved Jimmy's guitar and while I have no illusions one could make me play like Hendrix, his sound surely flows easier when you channel his mojo. Or at least I will convince myself of that once my weak will overtakes my savings account :)

The correct number of guitars to own is always N+1 ;-)

Very sweet looking guitar. I had to sit on my hands a lot when they came out as I thought they were great value for what you got. At reduced second hand rates they are even better value.

My only issue with such a beast is, if you find yourself playing not Hendix, you might then consider you have the wrong guitar wrapped around your neck.

PS. It would look even better without coloured strings.

After all this time I should be better.

Funny that's exactly where I was. Two strats and a Blacktop Jaguar. I was thinking my next guitar should be a Tele or a Les Paul. Then this one came up, and I couldn't resist. Glad I pulled the trigger because it's very different from my other two strats, both in the sound and the way it feels.

It came with the skittles strings. They actually played pretty well, but were getting old so I just changed them to normal strings.

I play a lot of surf too and the reverse bridge gives a nice Dick Dale sound. And the neck is great for imitating John Frusciante. If only I could learn how to play better. 8)
