While the finish isn't my cup of tea everything else about the guitar looks pretty damn superb.

I'm just the opposite, love the finish but the lime green pick guard has to go. Would look better with MOP in my humble opinion but to each his own.

Absolutely the opposite. Nothing looks better with MOP.

Is the headstock and neck a 'Quilt' maple? Absolutely beautiful.
I'm not much on "sparkle" myself...but I could definitely live with it, if I knew there was only two other people in the world that had one. Breaking up the sparkle with 3 colors DOES help my eyes too.
Mint green pickgaurd fits the over-all look just fine....don't see a "lime green" one. LOL!

The metal flake paint, while interesting, seems out of place on a three colour burst.
As a result, even though such paint normally catches my eye, this one does nothing for me.
On a burst, I need to see the wood grain.

My distaste for the utterly stupid minty green plates is well documented on this forum and I have no further comment but one.
I finally figured out what they are useful for.
They help the economy by stimulating business in the aftermarket.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Nothing wrong with that. Those vendors need all the help they can get.

I can't remember the number of "aged white" Strat parts I've removed and replaced. They look absolutely hideous.

Congrats, it looks sorta traditional and avantgarde at the same time.

On the pickguard matter, which seems to be raising above the original topic: the glitter the better.

You found this illustration in Webster's Dictionary, next to the description for the word "gaudy", didn't you?

You know that feeling you get when you are sick but it doesn't come out.

Beautifully made, but just not my cup of tea. Just a bit too sparkly!

Perhaps it was a custom order placed on behalf of Sir Elton that was later cancelled......

I think it's great .. are there "reliced" patches/dings?

I'm sure the pictures seen here don't do justice to the burst ..

The finish is probably at its best under the "Spotlight" ..

Goodonya
:D
