Hello Guys, I am considering buying a used MIM Standard Stratocaster and need to check the authenticity of the product. verifying the SN# MZ3120555 on Fender website it shows FENDER STD STRAT RW AGV and also my email conversation with Fender support confirmed the Model Number: 013-4600-529 which I think (529) Blue Agave, (Polyester Finish), the problem is that the color on the body shows (519) Sage Green Metallic. I am attaching few pictures, can you guys plz confirm if it's legit, and also is the neck model number color code is indicative or there are sometimes two three options of body colors to be put when the neck and body is assembled.

That's definitely not Agave Blue (your Sage Green Metallic guess is probably correct). All other aspects of the guitar seem authentic for a MIM Standard Strat.

As often with this kind of questions, I agree with Arjay; looks like a legit MIM Standard.

It's not the first time Fender's records aren't 100% accurate, so that Sage Green Metallic is probably a better color guess than the Agave Blue. And it's not far from Teal Green Metallic, which was around that 2003ish period.

Don't mean to hijack the topic, but I'm guessing the earlier high-labor finishes (like Candy, Flake...) were substituted with finishes like Metallic, Mystic and whatnut, where all the magic is in one paint layer. Anyone know better?

And the usual complaint: post pics straight here on the forum!
Photobucket journey this time:
a Unibet pop-up,
then a 'print your photos' ad bar needing to be closed,
one "edge by udm" pop-up corner window,
then a qudsurvey pop-up,
then a "sponsored ads - continue to site" overlay pop-up,
then an "exception" error ad bar,
then, finally to the pics.
Doesn't really lower the threshold to help, especially when posting pics on the forum isn't difficult:

+1

I grow increasingly warier of clicking on external links in this era of malware, viruses, and malevolent computer cooties of every stripe.
