I'm looking for a Stratoholics' expert opinion on the quality of this model and what it may be worth. It's a 2002 American (#Z2041163) signed by Robbie Robertson to promote the release of the 25th anniversary edition of The Last Waltz DVD. It has been stored in original hard case for 15 years and has never been played. It has original strap and sealed bag containing owners manual, bar, cloth, etc. Thanks!

If it is just a 2002 american series earlier called standard then around $850.
These are good guitars but nothing special.
Maybe worth less now it has been defaced with a signature.... only kidding...I am a big fan of the Band and that's a great movie so maybe a few more bucks with the sig :D

I'd put that as pretty much spot on. Anything is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. If you got two wealthy Robbie Robertson super fans in an auction it could go for more.

The guitar isn't/wasn't his, he and the guitar just happened to be in the same place when he had a Sharpie in his hand. Were he a dead mega star you could have been into big money but....

Having a defaced guitar is only a defaced guitar to a non fan so, unless you can hit the fan sweet spot in a sale, your market is very limited.

Hey RoA

Don't be underwhelmed by those replies .. none of us knows what you have there ..

The serial number can get you the spec details from Fender - consumerrelations@fender.com - but not current pricing ..

and/or

you can post pics here* (we love pics) and maybe can figure it out ..

*(use a service like photobucket .. copy the "Direct" option on Phobuk then paste that url within the brackets that appear in your text when you clik on "IMG" above)

Did you receive a COA or more likely a pic of Robbie signing it?

You *might* be sitting on a gold mine .. or at least the shaft!

Yes, the name of that band...the band!! OH, The Band, got it. to promote the release of the 25th anniversary edition of The Last Waltz DVD. It has original strap and sealed bag containing owners manual, bar, cloth, etc. Thanks!

Okay, I just couldn't help myself.
It worth about 850ish, maybe more to a fan.
You might want to place it in a auction, but usually, unless you get a couple of fans fighting over it, by the time you pay the auction house and all, your just as well off as selling it on e-bay.
