Can anyone guide me in the right direction of how to find out production numbers of recent limited edition guitars and amps? (ex. Sandblasted Ash Strats and Teles; Limited edition Super Champs, etc.)

Best to contact consumerrelations@fender.com
On newer Limited Edition/Factory Special Run/Dealer Select and other extraordinary models they should have records.

If not, the only way is to rely on internet wisdom - it can be correct or false, but it's usually available.

For what it is worth, I have a 2016 Figured Neck Limited Edition American Standard Telecaster, a 2016 Channel Bound Neck Limited Edition American Standard Telecaster, a 2015 Reclaimed Redwood Body American "Hot Rod" Telecaster (part of the Limited Edition 10 for '15 set), a 2014 Guitar Center Only Rosewood Neck American Standard Stratocaster, and 2013 '56 Reissue Stratocaster. On the Redwood Tele, the number is stamped on the neck bolt plate, and begins with "LE". On the Reissue, it is also stamped on the neck bolt plate, and begins with "VI". All the others, even though they are Limited Editions, begin with "US". The two other Teles, are stamped on top back of neck like most Fenders. The Rosewood neck Strat is stamped on the neck bolt plate.

Thanks guys! The replies were helpful. I'm still trying to figure out how many of my limited edition wine red Super Champs there are. I believe they are sold exclusively through Sweetwater and it does have a "Genuine Limited Edition Amplifier" plate on the back. My Sweetwater sales rep wasn't sure of how many would be produced and it sounded like they were still getting more shipped in from Fender. Another "Limited Edition" item that I have been looking at is a 2016 White Opal Strat. I found a few of them on Reverb.com and only about half of them have a "Special Edition" sticker on the back of the headstock. The neck plates are blank. I also saw a few Teles and Jazzmasters(I think; might have been Jaguars) in the same limited edition color. One of the dealers stated in the listing that they are limited to 170, but I find that hard to believe since the price is the same as a Standard Stratocaster. Is that possible? Either way I guess I'm a sucker for anything that is "Limited Edition" and probably always will be!
