Rather pleased to say I haven't seen one either. It has very little appeal to me.

The reason why it's not much seen these days, is because the market is likely very small. Anyone wanting a JEM is unlikely to go for a Strat.

I don't have to try juggling gorilla turds to know that I don't like it.

I can't put it more eloquently than that but would be honoured to be associated with that remark.

Sometimes it's being "able" to use certain features that makes a huge difference.

Whatever....different strokes....yada yada...

The beauty of the Stratocaster is its simplicity and purity of design. If you want something different then get something different.

It's not a case of not being able to use a feature it's more a case of have no desire what so ever to have anything to do with that feature. It is as ugly as sin and addresses a perceived problem I don't have in the first place.

Snake oil... yada yada.

Isn't it just a Strat with a Floyd Rose? Seems pretty inoffensive to me! Same as a Charvel, except for the SSS p/ups, surely?

I'm quite happy with the standard Strat trem(s) too, but I had a Floyd on an Ibanez and got on OK with it; it was the lolly-stick neck that finally got me, not the trem.

Cheers - Peter.

I got a message from one of the old regulars and I think he's right.

"I've seen your posts here, but I try to keep a low profile... it seems that the rule at this forum is, "Don't correct the locals no matter how misguided or wrongheaded their posts may be." :)"

Well that all got very personal. I just said it didn't appeal to me and was then accused of being bigoted because I didn't have the skill to play such an equipped guitar.

And while considering forum etiquette, if someone PM's you it is probably because they don't want their comments on the open forum. It isn't exactly good form to then quote that message.

And, for the record, it isn't just the trem I dislike about the guitar in the picture.

I've never played one either but I think I would like to try one.
Just to see.
Who knows?
Maybe I'd like it.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.
