Hi, Just bought a Fender Antigua, its odd in that it has a small headstock and a bullet truss rod and spaghetti logo. I've taken the neck off and it's a 2012 with L2 stamped in the neck pocket.
I was hoping someone could give me some info. I'd post some photos but I can't see how ?
Thanks in advance
Bill

Hi Bilco1,

To post pics, first you must upload them to a publicly accessible hosting site such as Photobucket. Once uploaded, copy the link located under the pic, or to the right of the pic, titled "IMG", and paste into your post here.

I find the easiest is to first share the picture on Facebook and then right mouse click over the full page image to get "copy image location". and then paste that between the IMG tags on this forum. "The work of but a moment."

Another FB quitter here.
Complete waste of time.

As to posting pics, I recently switched from PhotoBucket to Flickr.
PhotoBucket has become so painfully slow lately.
Flickr is a little more cumbersome to use but it doesn't take 40 seconds to load a page.
I've left my PB account active so that all the links I've previously posted will continue to work but any new posts I make use Flickr.

Farcebook yeah cant be bothered.
Getting back to the strat that is unusual.
There were reissues in 2012 but have not seen one with the small headstock[b]and[b]the bullet.
Did you ask fender as suggested in another forum? :D

His question has been asked and answered over on Strat-Talk - where he has photos posted since you can post directly to that site in this thread:

https://www.strat-talk.com/threads/fend ... lp.431268/

The thread got derailed a bit and you have to scroll through to see the various photos. I'll not bias you with posting my opinion here.

I've read through the thread on Strat Talk.

My first thought on seeing the headstock was a question. Why would someone modify a 3 bolt neck by cutting down the headstock, and putting a spaghetti logo on it?

I wonder if we'll get to hear the outcome of that email to Fender customer services?

My speculation was that someone desperately wanted an Antigua Clapton and this was that person's solution. I suspect that the cost was still far less than what those limited edition Claptons go for in the UK.
