So I bought this at a Pawn Shop today because the price was right and they have a 7 day return policy. I couldn't really pull the neck off there, so I figured why not. What I got when I pulled the neck was what I suspected. The neck was replaced with an Allparts neck and whoever did it had no clue how to dress the fret ends. But the important parts, the body, obviously CBS era. The dates on both the pickguard and body aren't legible. The neck pickup seems to be mid 70's era. I'm just looking for some guidance on to what it is and what the value is to determine if it needs to go back and a better deal be negotiated.

You may have more answer if you post picture on forum.

Get yer money back. That body looks too new and the pickup routes may not be right for a 70s. :D

Indeed so. I can't be bothered to copy and past the link into my browser and the go to some unknown site etc.

Far better to put the address in an image link so that we can see straight away.

Fake! Fake decal on Allparts neck. Return the guitar and slap the person that sold it to you.

This exact guitar was sold from Reverb.com, on 12/8/15, and they call it a "reissue", describing a mix of old and new parts. They also acknowledge the Allparts neck and Mexican body, wrongfully labeled a "reissue" body. Of course there is no such thing as a 70s "reissue". The only parts that are claimed to be from the 70s are the block/saddles and one pickup.

I wouldn't go anywhere near this fake.
