Just thought i would do a post about my new clapton guitar copy of crash3.
Still waiting for the neck to arrive from the USA but just got the body back today.
Parts list
Body: American Fender Highway 1 Stratocaster Select Alder

Neck: 1996 American Fender Stratocaster Clapton neck

Pickups: Fender vintage noiseless

Electrics: 2000 Clapton mid boost kit

Bridge: 2008 American Fender Strat Vintage Tremolo with steel block and 5 springs

Tuners: Kluson 50s RI

But those are very small pictures. Howsabout posting some (slightly) larger pictures? And then talk to us about how you carried out the finishing: materials, tools, process, yadda-yadda...

Folks are always interested to hear that stuff.

Much better pics. Now please tell us about the process: what type of paint, spray equipment, the masking, clearcoating - and generally the decisions you made as you went along. And also tell us how you came by that neck!
