That guitar proves the old adage true...Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

Was this spend the night or "Spend the night"?

And I agree with T2. While I admire the skill and craftsmanship in creating the guitar it isn't my cup of tea at all.

As a slight aside I'm getting a 505 bad gateway error trying to visit Guitar Hotel which is rather disappointing.

John

The site, www.guitarmotel.com, was under maintenance last night.
Now things are back to normal.
Regarding the guitar I agree with you, btw it's not mine, lol

This is positively beautiful compared to the PRS Dragon in a shop near me.

It's £23,000. And it's hideous.

Don't knock hideous. It can be what's needed for the stage presence.
Look at EVH's and Steve Vai's abominations, for example. Or some of Clapton's, even.
(In Vai's defense, I have a suspicion that he's really color blind and doesn't know, other than noticing that they draw looks.)

I recall seeing the purple holoflake finished lefty Strat that John made for
Otis Rush in a copy of GP magazine.

Viewing that bevy of gorgeous wall-hangers reminds me of this timeless scene from "The Dirty Dozen"......

Indeed. I'd been thinking the orientation of the artwork was pretty indicative of their intended purpose.
