"the heads been broken off 3 or 4 times...just glue it back on?" wouldn't the tension from the strings just rip the head off?...that must be some strong glue!

But the cutest thing is the idea that even to this day when Pete breaks a guitar they bother to repair it - rather than just dump it and pull another off the rack.

When he dropped his SG into the crowd at the end of the Woodstock set, do you think a roadie was sent trotting round to ask for it back?

This webpage lists most of the guitars Townshend has ever owned, smashed, repaired and destroyed - strictly for the seriously geeky amongst us:

http://www.thewho.net/whotabs/equipment.htm

Got a funny idea there is another "unofficial" Townshend gear website with a lot more detail, but I can't put my finger on it just this moment...

Cheers - C

I never saw that 4th knob before. Thanks for the link explaining it all.

And the answer was right here on the Fender site. Go figure!

I finally got to see the show and was fairly impressed by most of the acts, although somewhat dissappointed by The Who. The musicianship and stage show were there, but Roger's voice just wasn't there.

All in all not too bad.

The Who were pretty good...considering their ages and only half of the original members performed(would have be great if Entwistle were still around), still a great show all in all except for the Flaming Lips? sloppy sloppy sloppy...very surprising, very amateurish.

This piezo system is controlled by an extra volume control behind the guitar's bridge."

I heard it controls the gas on his cooker so his dinner is just right for when he gets home from bandpractice.
