Amongst Strats I'd just like a really nice Custom Shop job built to my exact specs. Pretty standard, actually, but beautifully made.

In the wider world I long for a really top drawer Hamer (or two) perhaps made from that spalted maple they are working up a batch of right now. But nothing like that is ever coming my way, this side of the lottery win!

Hamer's within the Fender family nowadays. From further beyond there's a little company called Martyn Booth that do utterly drop dead gorgeous things with timber and finishes. Another dream I'll never fulfill...

Cheers - C

The EVH signature guitar... It's worth $35 000. They should have made it $5150.00.

I wonder who owns the right to name products 5150 ... I mean, did Peavey "buy" those rights when they issued their amp? And when they stopped, did it go back to Eddie?

I never could afford the Fender Tom DeLonge Strat, when they were still being produced (and Tom was still playing a Fender). When I had a chance, I settled for the next best thing, in a Squier Bullet Special, then soon after that I had a chance to buy a Fender So Cal Speed Shop Strat. I also have an Epiphone Les Paul Jr. 90, a Gibson Les Paul Melody Maker and was about to convert a Standard Stratocaster HSS into a single pickup/tremolo guitar when I found my Fender FSR Straight Six Stratocaster.

In case y'all haven't noticed, yes I have a bit of a fetish for single pickup guitars. Although I have the Melody Maker, I'd still love to score a Gibson Les Paul Junior that's not the Billie Joe Armstrong signature one (I can do without the P90 shaped humbucker), and whenever I get the chance, I'll add a Fender Esquire to my collection.

Matt

"Martin D-100" or "Martin D-28 Authentic 1937" acoustics
I'd be afraid to even have these stored in the house! :)

I also would not mind having an SRV Lenny from the Strat lineup. :D

I was playing Giby acoustic last week that would make you cry but at $3.5k I don't think it will be coming home soon. I'd realy like a '62 Custom reissue tele and new Deluxe Strat but.................
