My 1st choice would be the The Monterey Pop Strat, which I have found twice but just could not afford :( Second would be SRV's Number 1 reproduction.

But I do at least have 2 artist series, the SRV and Mayer limited edition Mica strats. :)

I'd like to have the 1962 American Vintage Stratocaster in olympic white, black or sunburst, (but I'm a bit worried about the fret buzzing or dead notes). And one what I'd absolutely love is thw 1968 Fender Custom Shop or the 1969 one (but with a C shape neck!) but thats beyond dreaming.
Outside of Fender, I'd like a 1960's Gibson Flying V with a vibrola bar.

The local Guitar Center has a 1974 Les Paul Custom...

I know the 70s weren't regarded as Fender or Gibson's "best" years, but this guitar is one of the best I've ever played.

I love my strat, even though its not a 'top of the line' model its mine y'know? It plays great and sounds great and is a good long term project guitar to slowly upgrade.

However there are three guitars I'm GASing for!
A Gibson LP Classic in the old school vintage burst (the one with really dark edges, looks kinda like the Slash model).

An archtop, something like an Eastman would be sweet.

And my own idea for a custom build. Effectively a stripped down Gibson Flying V but with some changes: Shorter 'wings' on the V; a P90 pickup; a piezo hardtail bridge (wrap around TOM if possible); and two concentric knobs; a 4+2 headstock. One day I'll own it.. one day..

Hmm, where to start...

Well with a National biscuit cone resonator of some sort. Maybe the Resorocket, or a 12 string. Maybe an M2 or an Estralita. Or an El Trovador or a Resoelectric. I think you get the idea.

Then a "The Les Paul" A special edition with wood binding, pickguard, pickup rings, knobs etc. A thing of beauty.

From the Fender world? A custom shop Strat that combines elements of various Strats over the years, and is just a little different. Maybe a true koa Strat--not koa veneer on basswood.
